Dr.Rongrong Cheacharoen

Dr.Rongrong received her Bachelor of Science
with Summa Cum Laude in Materials Science and Engineering with a double major in Physics from the McCormick School of Engineering and Applied Science, Northwestern University. 
Then, she earned her Doctor of Philosophy in Materials Science and Engineering at Stanford University. 

In her free time, she enjoys doing scientific photography through both electron microscope lenses or even just a phone camera lens as well as hiking and baking. Bubble tea, cute stickers, nature, and nice ambiance are essential for her colorful life.

Dr.Chinnatip Harnmanusvate

Dr. Chinnatip Harnmanasvate is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Metallurgy and Material Science Research Institute (MMRI), Chulalongkorn University. He completed his doctoral studies in Nanoscience and Technology at Chulalongkorn University in 2025 under the supervision of Dr. Rongrong Cheachareon, following a B.Sc. in Physics from Mahidol University.

His current research addresses critical scalability issues in the solar industry by developing cost-effective perovskite deposition methods tailored for high-humidity environments. Additionally, he integrates sustainable and non-toxic materials into perovskite inks to enhance the performance and stability of carbon-based perovskite solar cells—a vital contribution toward the global realization of a carbon-neutral society.

Ms.Piboonwan Insiti

Piboonwan Insiti completed her B.Sc. in Computational Science (Chemistry) with First Class Honors at Walailak University, before earning her M.Sc. in Physical Chemistry at Chulalongkorn University. Then, she started her Ph.D. program in Green Chemistry and Sustainability at Faculty of Science, Chulalongkorn University.

She’s currently developing novel materials to passivate defects to improve stability of perovskite solar cells. 

In her spare time, Piboonwan enjoys eating, traveling, taking a photo, watching series, and listening to music.

Master Student

Mr.Chattarin Muensuksaeng

Chattarin (Dol) is a DPST Scholarship recipient who joined the research group in 2019 while studying at Suankularb Wittiyalai School. He recently earned his B.Sc. in Physics from Chulalongkorn University in 2025.  His early academic background involved photovoltaic systems, with a focus on power management for portable applications, as well as precision instrumentations specifically circuit design, embedded systems, and the development of measurement setups for energy devices.

Currently, his research centers on photovoltaic device physics, investigating the long-term stability and degradation of perovskite solar cells through electrical and optical characterization. Leveraging his expertise in electronics, he has also developed low-cost, high-precision instruments and measurement solutions, enabling scalable and long-term stability testing for next-generation energy devices

Mr.Ping Chaiyariti

Ping is a Master’s student in Chemical Engineering at Chulalongkorn University , where he also earned his Bachelor’s degree with First Class Honours and a Gold Medal. His research focuses on developing graphitic Carbon Quantum Dots (g-CQDs) to enhance the performance and stability of hole transport layer-free perovskite solar cells. This work aims to passivate the interface between the perovskite active layer and carbon electrodes, potentially driving these solar cells toward commercialization.

As a climate advocate, he represented the Faculty of Engineering at COP28 in the United Arab Emirates, where he shared ideas on how youth can lead global climate action. He also hosted the Chula Carbon Neutrality Competition, the university's first event dedicated to creating practical solutions for a carbon-neutral campus. In his free time, Ping enjoys playing badminton and watching anime.

Ms.Win Win Thwe

Win Win Thwe is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Nanoscience and Technology at Chulalongkorn University. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy and Materials Science Engineering. Her research interests focus on energy storage materials, particularly potassium-based manganese oxide cathodes for rechargeable batteries. Her work involves literature analysis, materials synthesis, and electrochemical characterization, with an emphasis on structure–property relationships in advanced cathode materials.

Mr.Thar Pyae Sone Zaw

Thar Pyae Sone Zaw received his Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering from the University of Technology (Yatanarpon Cyber City). He is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering at Chulalongkorn University. His research focuses on the application and optimization of metal oxide semiconductor nanocrystals for perovskite solar cell devices. He also has an interest in science communication and academic knowledge sharing.

Ms.Shuhan Dong

Shuhan Dong received a bachelor’s degree in Food Science and Engineering from Northwest A&F University, with research experience in the Advanced Membrane Technology Laboratory, focusing on ZIF-8 and its application in PVDF membranes. A master’s degree in Food Science and Technology was completed at Chulalongkorn University, Thailand, with research focusing on the functional modification of bacterial cellulose membranes. Research work mainly involves the synthesis of metal oxide nanomaterials and their applications in antibacterial activity, anti-biofouling, and photocatalysis, aiming to develop novel functional membrane materials with potential applications in food safety and environmental fields.

I aspire to be a Materials Engineer who combines technical knowledge with innovative problem-solving to develop in these fields.

Mr.Kritsakorn Sitthiasa

Kritsakorn Sitthiasa (Nex) is a Metallurgical and Materials Engineering student with research interests in carbon-based and nanomaterials for energy storage applications. He is focusing on bio-derived hard carbon anodes and Prussian Blue cathodes for batteries. His interests also include sustainable materials processing and advanced functional materials.

Tuanhasmah Tohnitae is an undergraduate student in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering at Chulalongkorn University and a researcher at the Metallurgy and Materials Science Research Institute (MMRI).She is interested in carbon-based perovskite solar cells and green processing for improving device stability. In her free time, she enjoys baking, reading books, and film photography.

Nathampapop Jobsri is a bachelor’s graduate majoring in Nano-Engineering at Chulalongkorn University. His interests lie in energy materials, organic electronics, and robotics. Currently, he is working as a research assistant (pre-doctoral researcher) on high-performance cathode materials and environmentally friendly quasi-solid-state electrolytes for zinc-ion batteries, where he is gaining valuable research experience.
